Turns out, chimps can make tools for killing. Even more interestingly, females make most of the weapons.... Apparently, it's because carrying around kids is a pain in the... neck.

Nicholas Sarkozy, the rightish presidential candidate of the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire, has started his campaign by going to London, "which has become one of the great French cities."  It's an amazing speech, mostly about hard work, and risk, and overtime, and other nice things.
